As a UX designer, you’ll be doing a wide variety of visual and interaction design projects for well known clients. You will be working on global brands and well known organisations across a variety of sectors. It could be that you are sketching, prototyping and designing in sprints for a large retail B2C client in one project, and using insights from user research to problem solve for not-for-profit digital services the next.
A typical day could involve interviewing a client’s customers to understand their behaviours and motivations; running research with people with disabilities to help make a client’s website accessible for all; sifting through research findings to create a set of personas, coming up with ideas for a new IA, taking part in client workshops or working with the design team to sketch interface ideas for a new responsive site.
